If you have an existing cushion lay it down on a flat surface and measure the width and the length. To get the seat and back measurement on a hinged cushion, measure the front of the cushion to the hinge, and the top of the cushion to the hinge. If you do not have any existing cushion then you simply measure the furniture. Measure between the arms for the width, or the outside seat area if there are no arms. Measure the seat depth by lining the tape measure from the top of the back to the seat and then the back of the seat to the edge.
